Used shelving

In the modern world everybody has a responsibility towards preserving the environment. By this I do not mean that everyone needs to where shoes made of hemp and build tree-houses in the path of bypasses, just merely that if you see an opportunity to reuse something then you should do that. By utilising used shelving , rather than commissioning the production of brand new shelving, you are not only saving the natural resources that would go in to producing the new shelving, you are also reducing the emissions that production method would create. You are also saving the used shelving from a long and costly recycling process to be remade in to something else, further reducing the use of resources and emission of harmful gasses.

The developed world has taken to used shelving in a big way and combined with governments introducing tough new emissions figures, this will hopefully go some way to preserving the planet as we know it. The next challenge is to get the industrialising nations on board with the project, as their economies expand at an exponential rate – all with a large manufacturing sector – and the trickle-down wealth causes more polluting spending habits amongst the general population.

These nations deserve their time and a little leeway to allow them to catch up with the western world, but hopefully before too long they will also be convinced of the importance of used shelving. Already this is happening, with good noises being made by governments all over the world, but only time will tell.
